Cashier and Shop Assistant Wanted – Timber City
Timber City is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Cashier and Shop Assistant to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual who is customer-focused and ready to start work immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the cash register accurately, handling cash and card transactions, and issuing receipts.
You will assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, answer basic product queries, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Additional duties include packing shelves, checking stock levels, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting general day-to-day store operations.
You may also assist with receiving stock and ensuring merchandise is correctly displayed according to store standards.
Requirements:
Minimum education: Grade 11 or Grade 12
Good communication and basic numeracy skills
Honest, reliable, and punctual
Ability to work well under pressure
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Previous retail or cashier experience will be an advantage, but is not essential
Must be available to start immediately
Personal Attributes:
We are looking for someone who is well-presented, customer-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
